About Herron Ortiz

Herron Ortiz combines the legal expertise and experience of a blue chip law firm with the efficiency and personal service of a litigation boutique. Firm founders Andy Herron and José Ortiz bring a formidable set of skills and experience to the legal matters they handle, working closely with every client in seeking cost-effective results. The Firm’s smaller size, high efficiency and its focus on client service allows Herron Ortiz to distinguish itself among South Florida commercial litigation firms.

The firm represents a wide variety of clients, ranging from large national banks, to medium sized businesses and developers, to sole proprietorships, to individuals. The firm specializes in litigation of commercial disputes in Florida state courts, federal district and bankruptcy courts, and in arbitration forums. Our diverse client mix generates an evolving array of cases, frequently involving banking disputes, securities fraud and other business torts, employment matters, probate and guardianship disputes,  shareholder/partner disputes and business “divorces,” creditors’ rights and all manner of bankruptcy issues.  As a result of our experience as business litigators and our resulting exposure to many different businesses, the firm is also retained from time-to-time to provide non-litigation business counseling regarding day-to-day and bigger picture issues facing our clients.

The firm’s boutique size fosters personal service and translates into a better client experience.  And unlike larger firms, we have fee flexibility which frequently allows us to fashion custom fee arrangements on a case-by-case basis.  So in the appropriate case, we may be able to offer flat fee, contingent fee and hybrid hourly/ contingent fee arrangements.
